As expected two months after the Rally of Morocco, the buggy golfmaurice.com, stamped No. 350, is back to face this time the legendary race of the Dakar 2011 edition.
Determined to battle after two unsuccessful editions, Jean Luc Blanchemain and his co-driver Jean Brucy will leave tomorrow with the 429 other vehicles, motorcycles, quads, cars and trucks expected from Buenos Aires (Argentina) for the 33rd edition of Dakar.
On the Rally-Raid, the toughest in the world, the duelists will face slices of sand, tracks and difficulties to be overcome no matter what happens. As Jean-Luc says: "In 2009 I gave up at the ninth stage, the following year at the third, I hope this time will be good at ignoring the adage “never twice without thrice”!
Prepared in the workshops MD Racing, the yellow Buggy identifiable from miles around, has all the necessary ingredients to achieve the target set by this outstanding team. With 365 horsepower engine delivered by the Chevrolet 6.2 liter, the team is well equipped to complete the South American country. « With Jean, we are a complementary pair. If the mechanism works in our favor, we can spice up our days for a few good shots! » Warns Jean-Luc now eager to get into the thick of it.
